6.4 % ABV, Hammerheart Brewing, Ely, Minnesota. 

Full-on darkness, complete opacity, slim cocoa rim up top. 

In the nose; roasty/toasty malty, with bright grassy hoppiness popping up. Ah, slurping chocolate milk off the forest floor! That’s what I’m talking about! 

In the mouth: full-bodied, rich and delicious. Exactly how I want a black IPA to be. Just about perfect. Pine needles and hoppy blasts mingling with dark malts. Deeelicious. No notes. Once again, I wish I’d bought a second 4-pack. Pretty, pretty good.
