Destihl Haze of the Dead Hazy Double IPA

Destihl Haze of the Dead Hazy Double IPA. 8.5% ABV. 83 IBU. Destihl Brewery, Bloomington/Normal, IL.

Totally hazed-out, pale golden coloring, milky white head.

In the nose: Soft and fruity. Citrus and tropical tones. Grapefruit and pineapple.

In the mouth: Subtle-ly hoppy, slides comfortably on the palate. Bitterness starts soft, then grows as it lays down and lingers. Medium body and mouthfeel. Citrus and pine hop flavors infect the senses. Ultimately turns dry on the tongue.

This is a tasty one, and I'm liking the bitterness, the booze, the tingling on the tongue. Not crazy about the hazy, though. I can do without that factor, remaining that lone withholder.

Our Deadhead IPA Series melds the strong vibe of our favorite music with the beer we love to drink, elevating both into a higher state of consciousness. Our Haze of the Dead reverberates with booming amounts of Citra and Simcoe hops piercing through the melodic mouthfeel of flaked oats, wheat & pils malts, concocting into a Juicy, Hazy Double IPA that will be sure to wake the dead. Cheers!
