A. Schell’s Limited Batch No. 008 Scotch Ale.
7% ABV, 20 IBU. August Schell Brewing, New Ulm, Minnesota.
Clear, dark reddish color, slim beige head.
In the nose: slightly sweet, malty, earthy, notes of toffee and caramel.
In the mouth: smooth and malty, expertly balanced. Just enough hops to keep malt sweetness in check. Medium bodied and exceptionally easy drinking. Note perfect Scotch. Quite tasty.
