Invictus Listening Through Static Hazy Pale Ale. Beer for the unconquerable soul.
5.2 % ABV, 42 IBU. Invictus Brewing, Blaine, MN.
A sample from the sample man. I wouldn’t have purchased it, due to my hazy ban. What’s wrong with a simple, good ol pale ale? Insert Abe Simpson meme here.
Thoroughly hazed, for some reason, golden toned, slim white head.
In the nose: citrus notes, grapefruit and tangerine.
In the mouth: even more citrusy here. Bigger grapefruit, citrus meets tropical. A touch of juicy, ending dry. Medium bodied, long, hoppy finish. Easily drinkable.
I like it, except for the fuzz and the muck. Just don’t get why everything has to be hazy now.
Our first hazy offering has a hazy orange hue with a thick white head. Aromas of fresh lime, lemon, orange zest and ripe melon lend way to a soft pillowy mouthfeel. All late kettle additions include Cashmere, Citra, and Mosaic hops.
