Odell Good Behavior Crushable IPA

Odell Good Behavior Crushable IPA.
4 % ABV, 37 IBU.
Odell Brewing, Fort Collins, CO.

So, "session" has been retired, and we're using "crushable" as an official descriptive? As the name of a style? Is that right? Ah, well, I can't stop progress.

Lightly hazy, bright golden hue, large ivory head. Looking good.

In the nose: Big citrus. Lemon and grapefruit. Slight tropical tones. Dry.

In the mouth: Exceptionally dry, just a little bitter, and a touch of the fruity. Lightish bodied. Swift finish. Have I said "dry", already?

So, it's low alcohol. Light bodied. Low calorie. A play on the session IPA, but using a new nomenclature. But it lacks in flavor. I'm not enjoying this, I'm afraid. Odell has always been one of the "do no wrong" breweries, but this one doesn't hit the target, whatever that is. Or maybe it does, and I just don't get it. There's no joy in this one. Oh, well.

We set out to create an IPA that’s both sessionable and bursting with hop flavor. Good Behavior is built like an IPA with bright hop flavors of tropical fruit and juicy peach yet balanced with a light body, slight haze, and crisp finish that’s truly crushable.
