Warpigs Astral Queen Double India Pale Ale.
8.25 % ABV, Warpigs Brewing, USA.
Clear, amber/golden hue, large, lush creamy head atop.
In the nose: high alpha acids, prominent dankocity. Prime citrus notes, precocious pine, ridiculous resinousness.
In the mouth: starts out bitter and dry,just a little spicy, fruit coming in. Orange, lemon and grapefruit meet a pinch of pine, and a slice of apricot. Medium bodied, long bitter finish, increasing alcohol. Not the greatest DIPA in the history of the world, but not too shabby either, there. Its got the goods.
A journey of one billion light years in the blink of an eye. To some it felt like an eternity. Her majesty has returned to claim her throne. All hail the Queen.
Yeah, that’s a good description.
