Nearly opaque, almost burgundy toned, slim off white head. Looking the part.
In the nose: sweet malt, caramel & toffee, dark fruit, figs and raisins. Exceptionally pleasing.
In the mouth: rich, malty, strong. More of those flavors found in the nose appear on the tongue. Warm and wonderful. Brown sugar, caramel, lots of deliciousness. Medium bodied, long sweet-ish finish, full on flavors.
I like a good doppelbock and this is one.
