Urban Growler Cowbell Cream Ale

Urban Growler Cowbell Cream Ale, Urban Growler Brewing Company, St. Paul, MN. "We're Beer For You." TM.

Clear, bright golden color, slim white head.

In the nose: clean, soft, mild, lightly sweet.

In the mouth: More of the above. A little citric fruit flavor, minor hop bitterness. Light-bodied, extreme drinkability. There's that creaminess, and whole lot of smooth. Untroubling, refreshing, tasty.
Cream ales aren't really my thing, but if they're yours, by all means.

Here's how they talk it up on the website: A "transitional beer" that may just lure the American light lager fans into the world of craft beer. Our cream ale is light gold in color and low in bitterness; the specialty malt and flaked maize add complexity to this smooth thirst quencher. This is a “lawnmower beer” that will leave you wanting more – no worries, just yell “I need more CowBell!”

And from the can: "Gold in color and low in bitterness, the specialty malt and flaked maize craft a subtle complexity for this crowd pleaser."
