Central Waters Satin Solstice Russian Imperial Stout. Notes from June, 2007. Here's what I said:
Dark brown, cocoa-tinged head, cola-ish...soon dissipating...
Chocolate and coffee blend in the nose...dark spices...earthy, roasty...quite nice.
Smooth, silky, but flavorful...just not enough flavor...medium-bodied, where it should be full, if not to bursting....good, tasty, choco-licious...but rather average when it comes to Imperial Stouts.
As stouts go, very nice... bit middling compared to the best Imperials, though...not so noteworthy...but good, nonetheless... mmm, silky-cocoaespressolicious!
