Able Seedhouse + Brewery Big Blk Wlf Bourbon Barrel Aged Stout. 9.8% ABV. Able Brewery + Seedhouse, Minneapolis, MN.Solid blackness, utterly opaque, slim brown ring of foam.
In the nose: Charcoal, ash, molasses. Massive malt, huge chocolate, plentiful espresso. Whopping whiskey, vanilla, marshmallow. Warming, alcoholic. Intense.
In the mouth: Vast presence on the palate, impressive mark on the mouthfeel. Richness in abundance. All the chocolate malts, all the coffee tones. Full body, long finish.
Notes trail off there, but I think I hit the essence of it. Saved this for about seven months since purchase, but seems to be just right. I enjoyed this all the way down.
This was purchased at the brewery back in January. I'm pretty sure it's all gone. Sorry about that.
