Junkyard Galactic Falconer I.P.A.

Junkyard Galactic Falconer I.P.A.

6.8 % ABV. Junkyard Brewing, Moorhead, MN.

As I mentioned in a previous post, I have at last found employment after six months of un-. And it's at a liquor store that gets regular shipments of Junkyard crowlers. One such arrived the other day, consisting of some kind of maple latté thing, a "s'mores porter," and the one we will consider below. I decided to spend my money on the one that tasted most like a beer. Now, let's crack it open...

All hazed up. If you want to drink an IPA these days, you got to take 'em hazed. Golden hued, large and lasting snowy white head.

In the nose: Bursting with citrus notes. Bright and lively. Orange, grapefruit, and lemon.

In the mouth: big hops, and big juicy. Citrus explosion, mitigated by the haze, and the low IBU. I could take a little more bitterness, but this is the style, and so. Medium bodied, soft, smooth, just the right amount of hop flavors and occasional bitterness to keep him happy, and quite delicious.

Sometimes I have to take a step back, stop complaining about the over-proliferation of the NE IPA, and just relax and enjoy. This is definitely one of those times.

This New England Style IPA is citrusy and smooth with a blend of Galaxy & Falconer's Flight hops for a juicy hop character with low bitterness.

But wait, there's more on the label: A mysterious creature swept across the galaxy, destroying worlds and devouring stars. Only the Galactic Falconer stood between his beloved planet and the deadly...SPACE BIRD!
