Millstream Iowa Pale Ale

Millstream Iowa Pale Ale, Millstream Brewing Company, Amana, Iowa.

Lightly hazed, reddish-amber coloring, snowy-white cap of foam, lingers at a good 1/4 inch.

Moderately hoppy aroma, earthy English hops, none of the American citrus notes, keeping pace with warm, bready notes. Already, I can tell this will be a pale ale of balance with plenty of malt in the game.

Taste: there it is, nice little hoppy bitter buzz right up front, softly fading away, and blending in with the malt. Flush with fruit, mixed with juicy malt. Hops still active, but never loud or abrasive. Just an average, easy-drinking, tasty pale ale. Not thrilling, but doesn't need to be. Just a drinker. Just the thing after some heavy corn husking
