Maine Beer Company Mean Old Tom Stout Aged on Natural Vanilla Beans.

6.5 % ABV , Maine Beer Company, Freeport, ME. 

Strictly black, completey opaque, slim ring of creamy tan foam resting above.

In the nose: Sweet and creamy, minor hints of cocoa and coffee, toffee, caramel. Vanilla rules over all. 

In the mouth: Malt forward, naturally. Excellent balance. Vanilla is here, but not overpowering. Very mellow, and altogether cool. Cocoa and coffee mix well with vanilla beans, while shying away from too much sweetness. All in all, a wonderful beverage. More, please.

I was a little disappointed. I thought that this was named for a cat, not the owner's uncle. 

Our American-style stout aged on natural vanilla beans. Intense notes of coffee and dark chocolate lead way to subtle notes of natural vanilla. Flaked oats generate a silky mouthfeel.
