BlackStack / Slice Brewing Any-Way-You Slice It California IPA

BlackStack / Slice Brewing Any-Way-You Slice It California IPA.

7.2 % ABV, BlackStack Brewing, St. Paul, MN.

Crystal clear, bright golden hue, slim white head.

In the nose: Citrus hop notes galore. Orange and lemon with a pinch of pine. Delightfully fruity.

In the mouth: Mild bitterness. Minor malt. Smooth and clean. Juicy/fruity, ultimately bitter and dry, but never enough for this West Coast IPA lover. I'm not sure what makes a California IPA different from a West Coast style. Less bitter? Probably. This is tasty, sure, and drinkable, of course, but lacks any kind of punch on the palate that I truly desire.

Probably perfect with pizza. Too bad I had pork chops tonight.

We dreamt this up with our No-Cal Buds at Slice Beer Co. Crispy, Lean & Resinous with Idaho 7 Cryo & HBC 586. Is it West Coast or California Style? All we know for sure is that it's fire, anyway you slice it
