HeadFlyer Prolific West Coast IPA.
6% ABV, 73 IBU. HeadFlyer Brewing, Minneapolis, MN.
Clear, bright golden hue, slim ivory head.
In the nose: here comes the fruit, citrus and tropical. Pleasing.
In the mouth: bit juicy at the start, turning dry. We’re getting citrus in the flavor, plus some stone fruit, grapefruit plus apricot. Bitterness rises and takes command of the palate. Slight sweetness, increasing dank and resinous-ness. Big bitterness never quits and I’m loving it.
I’m a big fan of West Coast IPA done right, and I’m happy when I find a new one.
