Goose Island Outliar DDH IPA.
9% ABV. Goose Island Beer, Chicago, IL.
Final can from the Imperial IPA variety pack.
Clear, bright golden hue, small white head.
In the nose: citrus on top, with tropical tones on the side. Brimming with hoppitude.
In the mouth: intense bitterness meets juicy malt. Sizable attitude. Robust upon the palate. Huge citrus, orange, grapefruit, tangerine, meets stone fruit, with a trickle of tropical.
Big juicy, dank hoppiness meets big bitterness. And I can dig it. The DDH didn’t wholly ruin this DIPA.
I am enjoying this one.
Out Liar is the tropical inspired DDH DIPA Chicago needs this snowy February. Pillowy passion fruit, pineapple and coconut notes from some of our favorite hops out there (Southern Passion and Sabro) combine with just enough bitterness and pine to provide a giant paper umbrella of flavor to shield us from the worst of winter and remind us of the good days of summer. We’ve amped this one up to 9% to help you get through a Chicago winter.
