Junkyard Hasta Barista Coffee Blonde.
4.2% ABV, Junkyard Brewing, Moorhead, MN.
Clear, amber hue, slim white head.
In the nose: earthy and sweetish coffee notes right up front, with a trace of cocoa behind. Hops wave from the background.
In the mouth: a kiss of the hops and a brisk taste of the coffee kicks it off. Body is mild and light. Drinkability is high. Coffee flavor, though somewhat slight, sticks around.
I get what they are going for, and I like it, but I wish it were a little more substantial.
In the year 2022, a smoking crater appeared in our parking lot....
Crouched in the smoking crater was a naked cyborg from the future...
The cyborg was holding a bag of coffee beans..
