Venn Juicy IPA, Batch #89

Venn Juicy IPA, Batch #89. 6.5% ABV, 35 IBU. Venn Brewing, Minneapolis, MN.

Hazy, bright golden, slim white head, leaving lace and looking fine.

In the nose: Bold burst of tropical fruit notes: pineapple, papaya, mango, & more. Sweet, but not unbalanced. Maybe a little bit of citrus, some grapefruit and lemon?

In the mouth: Smooth, juicy, fruity, and the bitterness begins. Lean bodied, easy-drinking, very tasty. A touch of astringency, but altogether downright peachy. Tropical tones keep on coming, smooth never stops. Bitterness doesn't quit, either. This one has it going on.

I like this. Unfortunately, it's gone. It was gone when I got the crowler, which I've had for a few weeks. But now that they've done 100 beers in 9 months, maybe they'll do it again some day soon?

Tropical fruit, soft, juicy. A hazy, New England-style IPA.

Malts: Maris Otter, Domestic Pale, Flaked Oats

Hops: Citra, Mosaic (United States)

Yeast: American Ale
