Sweetwater Trainwreck Hazy Double IPA.
8% ABV, Sweetwater Brewing, Atlanta, GA.
All hazed-up, bright golden color, small ivory head.
In the nose: light fruity/ citric notes. Fairly quiet, all told. Let’s hope that the taste holds more.
In the mouth: just a little bit juicy, getting increasingly pulpy, bringing on loads of hoppy flavors. Spilling out orange marmalade, grapefruit, passionfruit, a bit of pineapple, a twist of mango. Stone fruit, apricot and peach, join the fun. Bitterness is moderate, juicy/ fruity hop flavors are running the show, and now the booze enters center stage.
I am digging this Big time.
