Bauhaus Snow Motion West Coast-style IPA.
7.2 % ABV, 90 IBU. Bauhaus Brewlabs, Minneapolis, MN.
From the Freezebox Variety Pack.
Clouded (why? A West Coast shouldn't be), dull golden color, slim white head. So far, not so good.
In the nose: Soft and fuzzy. Slightly citric. Doesn't pop with the hops.
In the mouth: Not crisp, not clean, not clear. A muddy, fuzzy mess. Someone done lost their fool minds over at Bauhaus when they drew up the label. Citrus is coming on strong now, though, orange and grapefruit. Bitterness rises up, little bit of pine on the palate.
I would have expected better from Bauhaus. This is more of a mix of an American IPA with some elements of the hazy style. But, not a West Coast style. I remain a proponent and a stickler.
