BlackStack Foresight DDH Double IPA

BlackStack Foresight DDH Double IPA. Brewed in collaboration with 8th State Brewing. Citra, Strata and Nelson.

8.5 % ABV, Brewed and packaged by BlackStack Brewing, St. Paul, MN.

All kinds of hazy. Dull gold color. Large white head.

In the nose: Expressive aromatics. Bold citrus with a side of stone fruit. That's what the DDH is all about.

In the mouth: Juicy, soft, and creamy. Almost obscenely so. Modicum of hop bitterness. Dances daintily upon the palate. Finds a happy place in the mouth and plays around with some semblance of restraint. Just a little dry at the end.

This is for you people who like this sort of stuff. I supposed it's pretty good if you're one of them. I remain unmoved.

The first installment of a collaboration in 3 parts with Cam & the rest of our buds at The Eighth State Brewing in Greenville, SC. Featuring fortuitously large portions of our hand selected Strata, Citra & New Zealand Nelson Sauvin on a smooth & creamy base, courtesy of Oats, Wheat & Spelt.

The back label descriptions continue to sound like the writing of someone well and truly baked. In this context, I feel the need to alert them that "fortuitously" does not mean what you think it does.
